Mike Abel brings a warm, approachable energy to his role as Corporate Counsel for the TITLE AGENCY. He holds a law degree and an LL.M. in International Taxation and is licensed to practice law in Arizona, Ohio, South Carolina, and Texas. In more than 25 years in real estate, he has owned and operated multistate TITLE agencies, served as corporate counsel, and overseen more than 50,000 transactions totaling over $7 billion.
Mike has written about RESPA, FIRPTA, international taxation, contracts, and mortgage fraud. He has been a guest instructor at the University of Akron School of Law and spent more than five years as Ohio's leading provider of continuing education for mortgage professionals. Through his Arizona-based Abel Education Institute, he continues to provide continuing education to the Realtor community.
After working in South Carolina and California, Mike settled in Arizona in 2006. He launched a TITLE company that later became Greyston TITLE Agency, where he served as corporate counsel for 15 years. In 2024, as Greyston began to wind down, he connected with Ryan Myers. Ryan's vision for a client-focused agency inspired Mike to help build the TITLE AGENCY: a boutique firm dedicated to white-glove service, practical answers, and helping clients overcome challenges.
